PdfAdapter exists because of a simple architectural observation: modern browsers are powerful enough to merge, compress, split, rotate, sign, and convert documents entirely on their own — so uploading your files to a converter's server is no longer a technical necessity. It's just a business model.
We build tools that keep the work where the file already lives: on your device. That single decision removes the need for accounts, makes daily caps pointless, keeps our costs near zero (which keeps the tools free), and — most importantly — means your documents are never in our possession at all.
Three commitments govern every tool we ship:
- No uploads, verifiably. Watch your browser's Network panel while any tool runs — your file never leaves your machine.
- No ambush at the download button. Free means the download works. Always.
- Honest limits. When a job genuinely needs desktop software, the tool says so instead of pretending.
We only publish tools that are built and working — what you see on the tools page is what exists.
